Sterling Silver Roll Printed circles hanging from a circular wire stud. The sterling silver has been blackened to create an aged patina and highlight the roll printed design.

Roll Printing: In the roll-printing process, patterns are hand-drawn and then etched onto a metal plate. The plate is then sandwiched with silver sheet and put through a rolling mill to imprint or emboss the hand-drawn design onto the silver. It is similar to printmaking but in metal. Over time, the plates wear down from use and are retired, making each series a limited edition.
