Combining ceramics, metals and textiles into items made to adorn, Hechizo pieces draw inspiration from many global traditions of adornment, pottery and costume. Owner Hali's designs elevate somewhat less-precious materials such as ceramic cabochons set like gemstones, nodding to the value of the hand-crafted.
Inspired by Sufi dancers who perform a beautifully meditative dance called the Sama in their whirling tunics and perfectly positioned caps, these ceramic and inky black leather tassel earrings are hinged in the middle for lots of whirl. Earwires are 14K fold-filled and total length is approximately 3 1/2” long.
